Difference between Chloroprene joints and Nitrile Butadiene Rubber joints:
Chloroprene rubber joint and Nitrile Butadiene rubber joint differs only in the production of different materials, and in the medium.
Chloroprene Rubber (CR) has good heat resistance, weathering resistance, ozone resistance, flame retardant, oil resistance, chemical resistance and excellent comprehensive properties, so it is widely used in industrial products, automobile accessories, wire and cable sheaths and adhesives. Now, Chloroprene Rubber is an indispensable and important synthetic rubber material in rubber processing industry. In recent years, the society attaches great importance to the cold resistance of many kinds of industrial products which are mainly used in automobile rubber parts, so the improved Chloroprene Rubber with cold resistance gradually occupies the leading position. Chloroprene Rubber joints in the pipeline have some achievements in cold resistance and aging resistance.
The main rubber of oil resistant rubber joint is Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) , and NBR has excellent oil resistance, wear resistance and air tightness. The polarity of NBR is very strong, and it has good compatibility with Chloroprene, modified phenolic resin, PVC and other polymers with strong polarity, especially with chlorinated polymers. It is often used together. In addition, in order to improve processability and performance, NBR is often used with non-polar rubber such as natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and cis-butadiene rubber. It should be noted that NBR is characterized by good oil resistance and is used in conjunction with other polymers (except PVC) There is a tendency to reduce oil resistance.
Differences between casting and forging flanges for rubber joints
Rubber joint products can be used with a variety of national standards flange, as long as slot the flange or expand the inner hole, then rubber joints can be installed on the top to achieve the rapid connection between pipes. Rubber joints generally use flange casting flange and forging flange two kinds.
1. The cost of using casting flanges and forging flanges for rubber joints: The cast flange has an accurate shape and size, a small amount of processing, and a low cost, but it has casting defects (porosity, Crack and Inclusion). The internal structure of the casting is less streamlined (if it is a cutting piece, the streamline is even worse). Forging flanges generally contain less carbon than casting flanges and are not easy to rust. Forging flanges have good streamline shape, compact structure and superior mechanical properties to casting flanges. If the forging process is not proper, the grain size will be large or uneven, the hardening crack will occur, and the forging cost will be higher than that of the casting flange. Forgings can withstand higher shear and tensile forces than castings.
2.The advantages of using casting flanges and forging flanges for rubber joints: The advantage of casting is that it can produce more complex shape and lower cost. The advantage of forgings is that the internal structure is uniform and there are no harmful defects such as pores and inclusions in the castings.
3.Difference in production processes between casting flanges and forging flanges: The casting flange is different from the forging flange from the production process, such as centrifugal flange is one kind of casting flange. Centrifugal flange belongs to the production flange by precision casting method. The casting of centrifugal flange is much finer than that of common sand mold casting, and the quality is improved a lot. It is not easy to appear the problems of loose structure, porosity and so on.
