Metal hose is a kind of high quality flexible pipe in modern industrial pipeline. It is mainly composed of corrugated pipe, net sleeve and joint. Its inner tube is a thin - stainless steel corrugated tube with spiral shape or annular waveform. Generally, metal hose can be divided into three lengths: 

1.The compression length: the length of the hose to the limiting compression position.

2.The normal length: the hose located at the middle of the maximum displacement;

3.The stretch length: the hose is stretched to its maximum limit.

Hose should be installed in the middle position, the so-called installation length. When installed at this position, the hose can move in two directions when subjected to axial load. Otherwise, if it can only move in one direction, it will affect the strength of the metal hose and reduce the lifetime.
